The BP Experience
Client | BP
Agency | Jack Morton Worldwide
Post House | The Moving Picture Company

BP commissioned an interactive presentation for its global VIPs, stakeholders and employees - an immersive experience that toured worldwide and culminated in a large‑scale exhibition inside the Linbury Theatre, Royal Opera House in London.
As Design Lead, I worked hand-in-hand with the agency Jack Morton Worldwide and co‑creators Marshmallow Laser Feast to define the visual language and motion‑graphics system for the experience. My role involved developing a consistent, flexible set of information graphics designed to translate highly technical and scientific BP content into clear, engaging visual storytelling.
The core narrative of the experience - structured around themes of “More Discovery, More Recovery, More Efficiency” - was divided into three chapters, each one staged within a different physical area of the theatre. We used cutting‑edge filmmaking, CGI, projection mapping and immersive theatre‑style pacing to guide audiences on a journey through BP’s technologies and capabilities.
Because of the scale and ambition of the project, it was essential to maintain design coherence across multiple production disciplines. I coordinated closely with operators across Nuke, Maya, After Effects and Cinema 4D, and led a team of five designers and animators to deliver motion graphics aligned to our visual system. A key challenge was digesting dense technical documentation and turning it into intuitive visuals that supported the immersive storytelling while remaining accessible to a general audience.
The result was a fully immersive, sensory, and theatrical brand experience - one that reframed the traditional corporate presentation into a journey of discovery and visual spectacle, reflecting BP’s ambition and technological identity. The project has since been recognized for its creativity and impact winning at the 'Information Is Beautiful' awards.
