Conservatory Melbourne - An exclusive residential development located in the Melbourne CBD and within reach of the historic Carlton Gardens.
From storyboard to screen I conceptualised, art directed and edited this piece - a journey through key Melbourne landmarks. Historical Melbourne meets the new iconic Melbourne. It was important to reference the gardens themselves, which inspired the design of the building exterior.
The antithesis of the usual time-lapse based property marketing video this was about taking pause, allowing the viewer to appreciate the sense of heritage and lifestyle opportunity the city has to offer.
The project faced technical and creative challenges, the notoriously changeable Melbourne weather delaying us months, co-ordinating architectural renderers, drawing up flights paths for drone videography and shooting reflection plates to match. I also took care of 'invisible' VFX such as replacing sky plates, and general cleanup.
Big thanks to Atomic 3D for their impressive 3D visualisation and Flying Dragon for the aerial cinematography.
